Last week, a small group of activists upended a bipartisan legislative effort to establish a competitive, state-based health-insurance marketplace that would offer individuals, families and small businesses more control, more transparency, better prices and better protections when purchasing health insurance.

If South Carolina fails to take action, by law, we will default to a federally operated insurance marketplace that will not be tailored to the needs, concerns and values of South Carolinians.

Please contact members of the S.C. House Ways & Means Committee, urge them to support House Bill 3738 and to establish a fair and competitive health-insurance marketplace – by South Carolinians, for South Carolinians!
