According to a new report from the Urban Institute , when the Affordable Care Act is implemented in 2014, it will decrease small businesses’ (companies that have less than 5o employees) costs per person by 7.3 percent.

On the contrary, it will raise costs for large businesses (1,000 or more employees) by 4.3 percent; mid-sized business (101-999 employees) costs will increase 4.6 percent.

The report also states that if the law were implemented today, the number of Americans who would be covered by employer-sponsored insurance would increase 2.7 percent.
