Piedmont Medical Center is a member of the Tenet Hospital Network and has adopted Tenet’s Contract for the Uninsured. The contract insured discounted rates for uninsured individuals regardless of income, and for those with certain income requirements, charity care is available. ELP supports four Family Resource Centers, with a clinic that serves the children of uninsured families who are enrolled in a York County School District. Underinsured children can also receive limited services. The clinic rotates from center to center during the week but is always open to any family in York County. The clinic is in York on Tuesdays, Fort Mill on Wednesdays, Clover on Thursdays, and Rock Hill on Fridays. The clinic is open from 8:30am – 3:30pm.

This clinic’s purpose is to serve the health and wellness needs of medically uninsured, indigent residents of York County in a not-for-profit free medical clinic. Potential patients must have no form of insurance and have incomes of less than 175% of the federal poverty guidelines. The clinic provides basic primary care to its clients. They also have a pharmacy on site. Referral Service will be provided when possible, to other medical providers for cases that require treatment that exceeds the capabilities of the clinic.

Doctors Care is a state wide medical provider with 50 office locations. Doctors Care accepts Medicaid and Medicare as well as offers a 25% reduction in fees to uninsured patients.

Fort Mill Family Practice is a part of Presbyterian Healthcare Group and offers financial assistance to those who qualify. For uninsured patients with income up to 300% of the federal poverty level, charity care is provided. For those who are uninsured with incomes above 300% of the federal poverty level, a self pay discount is available. Any patient with a balance above $5,000 is eligible for a catastrophic discount.
