Steve Weston’s job doesn’t provide health insurance.
And the 33-year-old warehouse foreman at Mid-Carolina Steel and Recycling can’t afford to buy it on his own.
Weston stays on top of his health thanks to a program through his employer and the Eau Claire Cooperative Health Centers Inc.
Through it, Weston pays $10 for an office visit and Mid-Carolina Steel pays the rest through a fund it set up when the program started in 2006.
